The chart on the right shows Profiles P8 and P9 through Bukit Gedong (Gedong Hill). Profile 10 is shown below. The vertical exaggeration is about 4 times.

South Lcation E1

The building is a military site that I was not able to access. I estimated its elevation 12±2 meters. This location marks the edge of the widely occuring 12-meter terrace. Though the profile shows a small breakpoint at about 30 meters this could not be observed from this site.

South Location E2

This road shown in Figure 1 runs along the Holocene shoreline about 5,000 years ago, elevation about 3 meters. On both sides of the road, but mainly on the left hand (southeastern side) lies Malaysia's "Silicon Coast". Worldwide, most personal computers and workstations have at least one computer chip that was assembled here.

The famous Snake Temple (Figure 2). The Holocene shoreline reached to about the bottom step of the stairway when sea level was 3 meters (10 feet) higher than now.

South photos Location E3

View from behind the Snake Temple shows the driveway sloping down towards the Holocene beachline (Figure 3).

General view of the hill shown in the map

Figure 4 shows Bukit Gudong (Gudong Hill) viewed from the north (camera elevation 160 meters). I reversed the profile, shown as a green line, to fit the photograph.

General comments

The profile and photo of Bukit Gudong are the strongest evidence I found that there are marine terraces at 30 m, 60m, and perhaps at 45-50 m.
